Available Parrots for Adoption

All birds have a health hold (quarantine) for 2 weeks or longer if needed.  We are diligent about learning each individual bird's personality, health status, and dietary changes they may need.  We also prefer to give them time to adjust before any necessary nail or beak trims are given.

Vinnie is a special needs senior Congo African Grey.  He has had a rough past, and an adopter will need to sign a "health plan contract" agreeing to his care needs.  He will need supplements for his liver and kidneys, as well as monitoring bloodwork.  He HAS showed improvement here at the rescue...increased energy and mobility.  He LOVES playing with his toys, so you will need to have them readily available for Vinnie.  He has some stress induced plucking due to a previously stressful environment, but he deserves a wonderful loving home to live out his days in peace and happiness.

Steve came to us with a group of birds, but we discovered that some of his companions would chase him away from food, causing him to be a bit underweight.  One of our wonderful fosters has put in a lot of time and work to re-tame Steve.  He now steps up, and loves attention and head scratches.  Steve needs someone to be his best friend.  What Steve doesn't need is a home with a lot of other birds, as this could cause him some anxiety.  He will need his own space and time to bond with you.

Rocky is a male cockatiel that has been with us before, but was returned to no fault of his own.  His adopter got a new job and had no time for him.  Rocky is about 7 years old, and can be a bit nervous at times, but he will step up on a stick for you.  We are hoping to find the loving forever home that Rocky deserves.

***BIRD OF THE WEEK! ***
Each week we will highlight our bird of the week.  This may be an adoptable bird, a rehabilitated bird, or a bird previously adopted to share one of our many success stories.  If you'd like to help support our bird of the week, be sure to check our "DONATE" page.

Just Adopted!

Mango Mike is a very handsome male lovebird.  He is energetic little guy who enjoys time out of the cage to fly and explore.  He is 5 years old and very active and healthy. A large cage that he is used to can be included in his adoption.  If interested in adoption, please send us an email or Facebook message.

"Max and Mia" are a very bonded pair of cockatiels.  They are approximately 9 years old.  They love to be let out of the cage for flying time, and enjoy getting attention and being talked to, although Max can get a bit jealous if you pay more attention to Mia.  They are an active entertaining pair, seeking their loving forever home.  Mia is currently NOT laying eggs, but if this does occur, the adopter MUST work with us on ways to stop and prevent further egg laying.  This is something we can help you with, as we have successfully stopped it many times in the past.  Please reach out if interested in adopting this adorable pair.  You will need a large cage, many toys, and a healthy diet to care for them.

Check back often, as we have several birds that should also be available for adoption soon!

We LOVE keeping in touch with adopters and seeing pictures of the parrots in their new homes! If you have any questions about the adoption or surrender process, please reach out via email, chat, or text.
Every bird deserves a loving home with excellent care.
